4070 Weather API · From WDS

Weather data for the tools your team already uses.

Planning a weather integration? Talk with WDS about current conditions, forecasts, official weather alerts sent straight to your systems, and guidance from our meteorologists. Tell us your locations and what your software needs, and we will work out the right setup and price together.

What an integration can include

Conditions, forecasts and alerts for the places you operate.

Your dispatch board, field app or operations dashboard gets the same weather our business customers use in the 4070 Portal.

Current conditions
Temperature, feels-like, humidity, wind and gusts for each of your locations. Every value says whether it was measured at a nearby station or estimated from an analysis, and a missing reading stays blank instead of being filled in.
Hourly and daily forecasts
Hour-by-hour detail for the next three days and daily highs, lows, rain and snow for the week, on each location’s local calendar. Daily snowfall uses the WDS-adjusted totals shown in the 4070 Portal.
Official alerts, sent to you
When the National Weather Service issues, updates, cancels or ends a warning that covers one of your locations, we send it to your system. Your team does not have to keep checking for new alerts.
Meteorologist guidance
Forecasts and discussions written by WDS meteorologists for your operation, by agreement.

Example

What an alert message looks like.

Each alert arrives as a signed message your system can check before acting on it. One message covers one warning and lists every one of your locations it affects, with the official National Weather Service wording kept intact.

How we are building it

Speed, dependability and security come first.

Responsive weather data
Forecasts and conditions are prepared ahead of your request, so your software is not left waiting on a model run.
Alerts you can count on
If your system is briefly unavailable, we keep trying. If you miss anything, you can ask for everything since your last message. If our alert monitoring is interrupted, we tell you instead of going quiet.
Private by design
Each customer gets their own access keys and sees only their own locations. Every alert message is signed so your system can confirm it came from WDS.

How it starts

A conversation, then a setup built with your team.

1. Tell us what you need
Your locations, the data your software uses and where alerts should go. A rough idea of volume helps, and “not sure yet” is a fine answer.
2. We set it up together
WDS configures your locations and alert delivery, then tests them with your team before anything goes live.
3. A quote for your integration
Pricing depends on your locations, the data you use and alert volume. There is no public price list.
